MembershipHow Can I Become a Member?Check the Local Chapters page to see if there is a local chapter in your area. If there is, contact the number of the director or president of that group. If there is not, you can become a member at-large. Email your name, address, and home phone number to Peggy Cooper at The Arc of Tennessee and tell her you want to become a member. We will send you an invoice for membership dues. What are some of the Benefits of Membership?Once you become a member of a local chapter, or at-large, you are automatically a member of the state and national organization. You will receive local (when available), state and national newsletters, mailing updates on current events relative to disability issues, access to publications at both the state and national level, access to health and life insurance and the reward of supporting an organization who provides advocacy and other important services to benefit people with mental retardation and other disabilities.Your annual membership fee and any other contributions are tax deductible.Members: If you would like to participate in The Arc's new, innovative online giving, visit Spread the Word to set up your own web page and send donation solicitation emails to potential donors.
